First Shift after Christmas

I hope you are enjoying the festive season.

It was Fairfield’s officers first shift back after Christmas – and after a few too many mince pies, some of us found our stab vests a little snug!

We began the day catching up on paperwork and emails before heading out on patrol. During the morning, officers visited individuals who had previously reported anti-social behaviour and reaffirmed our commitment to following up and reducing these issues. We also carried out an arrest enquiry as part of our ongoing work.

Later, we visited Surrey Street, where we spent time meeting residents, shoppers, and stall holders. If you missed us this time, we’ll be back on Surrey Street on the 21st January between 12 and 1pm, and we’d love to see you then.

One of our ward’s local priorities is reducing the amount of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) residents are experiencing. In a policing context, ASB is defined as:
“Behaviour by a person which causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to persons not of the same household as the person.”

If you believe you are experiencing  any ASB, please report it to us either via 101 or through the Met Police website. The more reports we receive, the better we can allocate resources to tackle the underlying problems.
